I wonder how many children have been told those harsh words, “You were an accident”? If the truth was known, I mean if every mother would admit it I would just about be willing to bet that most of the world’s population were accidents. You and I could be accidents. If I were an accident my mother never told me so, and I don’t believe she ever would have. She loved me as if I were planned right down to the color of my hair, eyes and everything else was exactly what she had hoped for. There are children out there that have been told they were an accident. I cannot help but wonder if living with that thought had anything to do with the direction their lives took. Did they grow up hurting and hating themselves and the world, giving up on life because they felt they shouldn’t be here? Or did they grow up and strive to be the very best to prove to themselves and the world that they should be here? What would our world look like if whenever a mother accidentally conceived that unborn child was instantly and automatically terminated? Would you be here reading this right now? Would your children be here? Would your parents have been here? Where exactly would it start and stop? How far backwards would we be in the world of evolution? I was once told that an accident was an act of God, it could not be altered, changed, or prevented. Everything else was an incident. An incident is deliberate, or it is caused by carelessness or negligence. An incident can be altered, changed, or prevented. Except for rape, conception can be prevented. So, if anyone ever tells you that you were an accident? Just smile and spread your wings. We both know now that you must be an Angel because an accident is an act of God.
