Learn Me Something

Learn me Somethin

When our children are still children we as parents are held responsible for everything bad they do and nothing good they do. Soon our children become adults. We often hear from that point on they no longer have to listen to us or mind us. Yet whenever they are doing something wrong, all the whispering around them comes back to you as a parent. People whisper “ He/she must not have had good parents”, “ He/she was raised in a barn”, That is another adult that got time out growing up and no butt whipping”. I am sure you have heard these and many more. I am different than many. I left home at the age of 17 to be on my own. I made many mistakes along the way too. But not one of them had anything to do with how I was raised. Our parents teach us many things growing up, but what if they do not? What if your parents did not teach you manners, good work ethics, or how to clean up the messes you make? If you are a grown man or woman and you consider yourself an adult, why do you still require a parent figure in your life to come behind you and clean up your messes? Why do you still need a parent figure to pop you on the back of your head when you are being rude or disrespectful to someone else? Why do you need a parent to walk with you to the toilet and raise the toilet seat, flush it, and clean the urine from the floor, or hold you to help aim it better? Why do you need a parent figure, to prepare your meals, and wash your laundry and dirty dishes? Why do you need a parent figure in your life to remind you that you have children that have needs also? Why do you need a parent figure in your life to tell you the simple things like, if you turn it on, turn it off when you are finished, put that back where you got it from if you broke it fix it if you can not fix it find someone that can or replace it. If you are an adult at what point and time in your life will you start acting like one? If you are an adult at what point and time in your life will you start being responsible for your own actions? Be an adult for a change.
Stop acting like you were raised in a barn.

  1. UNFORTUNATELY, SOME NEVER LEARN AND THEY DON’T CARE. IT TAKES NOTHING TO BE KIND TO OTHERS BUT LOOK HOW MANY FAIL AT THAT TASK. THEY WEREN’T BORN IN A BARN, BUT THEY ARE SURE GOING TO HELL IN A HAND BASKET. IN THIS DAY AND AGE, THOSE PARENTS THAT SHOULD BE TEACHING THOSE KIDS SOMETHING ARE OFTEN TIMES FAILING AT BEING A HUMAN BEING. SO SAD REALLY…….
