You knew me when
You knew me when you needed help with a sick child.
I didn’t hesitate, I gave all I had, with a smile.
I suppose it is true what they say.
All good things will end someday.
You knew me when it was best for you
Selfishly without hesitation, its what you do
You knew me when you needed money.
I gave it all when it’s time to return it, you think it’s funny.
You knew me when you needed food.
I fed you knowing you will never show one once of gratitude
You knew me when you needed a ride to town.
I gave it to you, while behind my back you still put me down.
I suppose it is true what they say.
All good things will end someday.
You knew me when it was best for you.
Selfishly without hesitation, it’s what you do.
You knew me when you passed by.
You would stop and say hello if you saw me outside.
You knew me when you came over and sat at our table too.
There are so many things that you used to do.
You knew me when your children would come over and play.
Hanging out with my niece and nephews nearly every day
I suppose it is true what they say.
All good things will end someday.
You knew me when it was best for you.
Selfishly without hesitation, it’s what you do.
You knew me when your daughter needed glasses to help her see
It was a gift to her, from my husband and me.
You knew me when we were very good friends.
It’s sad knowing you have no desire to make amends.
I suppose it is true what they say.
All good things will end someday.
It is so sad that friends, even family will act this way. Somehow it always ends up being your fault everything went sour. It doesn’t matter how much you give or how often. It doesn’t matter how much you help, or how often. Some people are never satisfied. Some people truly believe that simply because you have something, they should have it also, and it’s your responsibility to see that they get it. Of course, if you don’t have, or if you are doing without, that’s your problem also, certainly not theirs.
They believe in their very tiny delusional brains that you should be grateful for helping them and thank them for letting you. If you dare mention to them or anyone else that they owe you, then you are selfish and arrogant, you should be ashamed.
I am always willing to go above and beyond to help anyone, even when I can barely help myself. I have lost a lot in my life having a good heart. I have gained even more. You may burn me once or even twice, but you will never get a third chance.
Be responsible for what you say and do. Say what you mean, and mean what you say. Don’t be ugly to those that help you. You never know when you may need them again. Friendship and trust are much like credit. Take care of it and it will always be there for you. Abuse it, you will soon find yourself in the deep hole you dug, all alone, with no one to call on for help.
