My world, your world, everybody’s world. It is an amazing place, isn’t it? It can rain for days and flood the countryside, sooner or later the rain will subside and the torrent waters will soon calm and dissipate. We can dig an enormous hole and leave it or fill it with something else of our choosing. We can clear all its timber changing the landscape forever with concrete and steel. We can pollute its land, streams, rivers, and oceans with our waste. Yet somehow our world seems to hold together and still provide you and me with a beautiful place to spend our lives. You are my world. How many times have we told someone else that they are our world? In truth, we are each our own world and everyone else simply resides there in one way or another. Much like the world we live in, we can sustain a lot of abuse and still function. Our appearance can be altered and we can still be beautiful. Our extremities can be removed and we can still function, be very much aware of our surroundings and be a part of them. We can even be polluted with toxins and survive. I could not imagine what it would take for an individual to destroy our world completely. Aside from death, it should be equally impossible for an individual to destroy you. They may alter your landscape, they may dig a hole and leave it unfilled, they may pollute your heart with toxic lies and false hope. Yet just like the world we live on you too will be a beautiful place to spend your life.
Simply my thoughts
