Can’t you see

She cries out in vain, overwhelmed with heartfelt pain.
Yet no one sees the tears, that have stained her cheeks for years.
She sits alone in the dark, contemplating a journey to embark.
Many thoughts in mind, yet not one of what she will leave behind.
With a glass of water, and a bottle of pills, the end is what she wills.
With paper and pen, she tries to explain her reason once again.
I want you to know, I am sorry and I love you so.
I wish you could understand, why I reached out for your hand.
My life was a turmoil I could not comprehend, I just knew it had to end.
My tribulations are so profound, until now, finally, peace I have found.
I wish you only the very best, goodbye, I feel I must lie down and rest.
There she lay so peacefully, If only I had tried to see.
I would not be without, this part of my life no doubt.
My future is now also a blur, living life without her.
So very little did she demand, a little time with a comforting hand.
Her death, like her life, she was alone, now inscribed on her tombstone.
Time, compassion, love, and understanding are all so simple to give.
It may also be all that is needed for the desire to live.
These simple things should you choose to enslave.
May have you kneeling in tears beside a grave.
Listen for the cries and see the tears.
Living a life of togetherness for the rest of your years.
The definition of essence is the very best part.
Let the essence of you, simply be your heart.

Simply my thoughts
