I was watching a program earlier and there was a person that was arguing (Biology 101) with some other people. His argument was there is a male and a female, you are one or the other. And they started telling him how this one (identified) as this, and this one (Identified) as that, and so on. Well, I remember when I was younger there was this black man. He could be seen walking around town, usually wearing a huge cowboy hat. He was trying to dress flashy. Everyone called him Elvis. I don’t know if it was because he tried or did sing like Elvis, or it was how he dressed. He pretty much did what he liked, and people accepted him for who he was. Of course, they thought he had mental issues, so no one bothered him that I know of. I remember seeing him with a green army helmet on. He was marching up and down beside some railroad tracks like a soldier one time. Like most everyone else I just smiled and said there’s ole Elvis. Society didn’t have to change its rules to accommodate Elvis, he had to bend to fit into society. So, what I am confused about is there are a lot of people out there that truly believe they are something they are not. Like this one big giant of a man that can be seen often in our area wearing a pink tutu. For those that do not know what a tutu is, look it up. And again, everyone pretty much leaves him alone and just accepts the fact that he believes he is a ballerina. Society did not have to change the rules so he could be a ballerina and wear his tutu, he had to bend to fit into society. They also believe that he has other issues. I am no Dr. so I cannot really say one way or the other. I can make an observation and share my thoughts on that.
This kind of confuses people though when you have men that think they are women. And society is supposed to change to accommodate them. Allow them to dress with the young women in schools even though they have a penis. They are also supposed to be allowed to participate in female sports just like the other females. Even though they clearly have an advantage. And we are supposed to see this as “normal”. Then there are the women that believe they are men. They take hormones to grow hair and change their voices, Parents are also expected to allow them to dress with their sons in school even though they still have breasts and a vagina. Why is it that some people that believe they are something they are clearly not? Get labeled as crazy, handicapped, or mentally disabled and are forced to fit into society? While others are cheered and praised. They also have laws, procedures, facilities, rules, and regulations altered to accommodate them. It is acceptable to ridicule one but not the other, why? Where do we draw the line? The line that defines who is suffering from mental issues and who is not?
I am by NO means anti-gay. I have very good friends that are gay, I have family members that are gay. I believe a person’s personal life (including) sexual orientation should be private. If you want to call yourself a giraffe, while eating a banana with chopsticks, I don’t care! That is your business, your life, you can be who or whatever you want. It is when you expect me and mine to change our lives to make your life better. That is when it bothers me. I do not want my daughter or wife in a toilet with someone that claims to be a woman standing there shaking their penis. You chose the identity you wanted to be known by. The rest of the world did not. We all must deal with the consequences of our actions. What makes YOU any better than anyone else? Do you want to be someone you are not? Then you deal with the consequences. I watched a video recently about a guy that wanted to be a police officer. He dressed like one, acted like one, and got arrested for it. Why? Could it be because of how it directly or indirectly affects other people? Of course, it is. But many of those same other people believe it is ok for a man to use the women’s toilet in public areas and our schools. For me, I will be ok with drawing the line where our creator does. If you want to change what God gave you, that is on you. You deal with the consequences. I’m drawing the line right there.
