So often I see heart-touching stories circulating the pages of Facebook and other social media pages. Stories that make many stops and think about the way they live their everyday lives. Some will get hundreds of comments praising the story or its source. And then there will be some that will comment it’s a lie, look it up on Snopes.com. While calling all the ones that had commented about how much the story meant to them fools and idiots. I’m asking you, who is the fool and idiot? You have to look past the story sometimes and see the message. It doesn’t always matter if the story is true or false as much as it matters how much the story made you look at your own life and feel the need to change your ways. Or maybe it touched your heart and stirred feelings that have not been stirred in a while. Many will read these stories and really want to share them but are afraid that someone may call them out on it and show everyone that it is a lie. We grew up listening to lies to soothe us and comfort us. There is no Little Miss Muffet, no baby rocking in the treetop, no cow jumping over the moon or Mary Poppins, no snow-white or seven dwarfs. The stories all had meanings, and messages that soothed our hearts and souls. If you read something someone posted and it makes you feel good, it’s inspirational to you, or something that made a difference to you. Don’t be afraid to share it with everyone you know. There will always be a doubting Thomas and some poor soul with a dark cloud just over their head. Good can never prevail if it is weak and influenced by the negative and bad. Stand up for what you believe to be good and righteous. If it makes me feel good I want everyone I know to feel what I feel. I don’t care if it is true or false, real or fake. What I care about is the message it gets out there to me and to you. Take your power back; no one can make you feel low, weak, ugly, or wrong unless you give them the power over you to do so. It’s your power take it back and show the world what you are made of.
