My name is Dean Butler. I have over forty-five years in the flooring sales, service, and installation business. I am among the very best in my area at what I do. I go out of my way daily to help others even when I can barely help myself. I write my thoughts of inspiration sharing my life events in hopes of sparing others the pain I have known. Would you pay me more than you would pay anyone else that does what I do simply because my name is Dean? I have many friends that display the highest form of integrity, compassion, and respect for animals and humankind alike. Should they be paid more for what they do than the next person that does the same thing? I paid $450.00 cash for a Chevrolet Caviler Sport over 5 years ago. It has without fail gotten us from point (A) to point (B) with a very minimal maintenance expense of around $1500.00. I know family members that own newer model vehicles, paying nearly $1000.00 a month in notes and insurance to do exactly what we do…get from point (A) to point (B). I pay $10.00 a pair for the jeans that I wear to work or out on the town. They cover my body, I get compliments on my looks, I have never been made fun of for wearing them not once. I know many that pay well over $100.00 for jeans with a name on them that do exactly the same thing as my $10.00 jeans. So many put themselves in such difficult strain in life falling into the never-ending rut left by the Jones’s. My family had a flooring store in a small town we lived in. It was nothing fancy at all. It was just an old metal building with samples just like the fancier buildings down the road. The biggest difference was that the old building had the very best installers, and the most honest people under the roof than all the others combined. Still, most would not go there because the looks of it cramped their style. They didn’t want the neighbor to see their BMW in front of that old metal building.I learned a long time ago that the majority of our population does not care how good the product or service is that they received just as long as it made them look richer in some way. So they could drive a fancy car, wearing their fancy clothes, to a fancy building and get a fancy screwing. I see these things every day and it saddens me to think that all these people are so busy trying to look good to someone else that they are blind to everything they really need to see. You are but pawns in a game. The businesses with media convince you of what to wear, where to live, what to drive, eat, and what events to attend to be up in all the latest. Your trends and fashions are set for you. The only time you have any real say in your life is while you sleep. Just imagine the life you could have if you became the Jones you kept up with, and you paid yourself because YOUR name was THE in a name? Near me is a well-known business “Academy” they are getting a make-over by a large company that travels doing these large renovations. They are removing the old vinyl tile installing new. It is all I can do to stand up I’m laughing so hard… the majority of it is upside down… These big-name professionals have no clue about what they are doing but they have a big name. One of these days everyone will stop following and start leading. I’m not a mirror image of anyone else…. I am me…who are you?
Simply my thoughts
