The Brighter-side

My life just sucks and I wish I could die.
Staring into the darkness for the brighter side.
I so wish it were right but I know it’s all wrong.
Tormenting my head like a forbidden song.
My hair is all wrong, my weight is not right.
My clothes don’t fit and my shoes are too tight.
I fell in love then my lover left.
In tears all alone while feeling bereft.
Now in a tub of hot water with a razor in hand.
No more contemplation my soul leaves this land.
My wish has come true six feet under I lay.
From now until eternity there I will stay.
Family and friends gather at my graves side.
Kneeling with a rose in hand while whispering they confide.
Blaming themselves for the life I’m denied.
Wishing as tears fall……they had shown me……the brighter side.

What seems so simple, so trivial to some can be devastating to another. Never refuse to lend an ear, a shoulder, kind words, or encouragement to someone that seems sad, depressed, or lonely. You may very well give them that lift, that smile that saves their life. So many everyday face so many adversities in their lives they often feel overwhelmed and feel there is no hope, and can not see a light at the end of the tunnel. There is a light, there is always, always a brighter side. As long as we are living we can change our lives. Once we are gone there is no change for us only for the many we left behind. Somewhere there IS someone that truly cares, that truly loves you…. The very best place to start is YOU. Always care about you, always love you and always believe there is a brighter side.
