It is sad that the non-drug, non-criminal elements in our country can’t have some of the same values, ethics, loyalty, and determination the drug dealers, addicts, and criminal elements do. In the drug and criminal world, they look out for each other, they warn each other of any possible harm coming their way, they are for the most part loyal to each other, and they will even kill to defend, protect, or enforce what they believe in. More people, young people in this country are killed every day over something as stupid as not wanting to be any part of something bad, not being able to pay a debt even if it is less than $20.00, or being selfish with a drug they may have acquired. Yet no one will come forward, no one will tell authorities what they know, no one will dare take a stand against the criminal elements in our country. Even if you were once an addict and have cleaned up and have a family of your own now. You will choose to let all that you know follow you to your grave, before taking a step forward and helping stamp out this element in our societies. People can see a young man beating an elderly person and turn away because they don’t want to get involved or risk getting hurt. But they can video it and post it in hopes of making some money from it. Most bullies are bullies not because they are tougher than everyone else they bully, but because they make you believe they are. They instill fear in you that almost guarantees them NO retribution. That is how the criminal and drug elements work too. If you have a city that has a population of 50,000 people, 3000 of them are drug addicts or criminals of some sort, maybe 100 of them are dangerous can you explain to me why in the hell 47,000 people are scared to death of 100 people? They can’t buy enough ammunition to kill all of you. You don’t even have to confront them, hide behind your blinds, call the police, videotape them doing wrong and send a copy to the police. Those that have done time, stopped doing drugs and got their lives in order I give you kudos. But… if you leave all that you know locked away in your head from fear you have only left the door open for your children, or grandchildren to walk through. Maybe they will be one of the victims that never come home, that no one knows anything about, and never will. It is time for us to stand vigilant, speak up and speak out. If you truly love your children, protect them, don’t give that bad element a chance to latch onto them. If they got you, you of all people should know, they can get your children too. In the end, the choice is yours if you truly win or lose.
